Bose – an American dream

The audio specialist Bose is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of headphones, loudspeakers, hi-fi and home cinema complete systems, sound reinforcement systems and vehicle acoustics.

Bose history

Amar Bose founded the Bose Corporation in 1964 as a technology nerd, researched and taught at the world-famous MIT and brought the first noise-cancelling headphones – as a headset for pilots – onto the market in the early 1980s. In its long history, Bose has always been good for innovations. Driven by basic research and supported by clever product marketing, Bose is today one of the most valuable brands in the audio market.

How good are Bose headphones?

Bose headphones are still among the best headphones you can buy in the consumer sector. Their sound is dynamic, fresh and agile, and the active noise cancelling of Bose headphones is also among the best noise cancelling on the market.

So Bose made an impressive comeback with the QuietComfort Earbuds II (to the test): These True Wireless In-Ears not only sound very good, the ANC (noise cancelling) is also excellent.

If you are looking for really good sports headphones, you should take a closer look at the Bose Sport Earbuds (to the test): Their firm fit, good sound and robustness were convincing in our test.

But Bose also has over-ear models in their range: the Bose QuietComfort 45 (to the test) or Bose Headphones 700 (to the test) also sound very good, as does their noise cancelling!
