Design & Fit

The EarFun Tune Pro have a relaxed fit with low clamping force, providing comfort without compromising stability for mobile use. The headband adjusts to suit smaller and larger head sizes, and the slightly angled earcups tilt, swivel, and fold for compact storage.

Battery Life

A standout feature is the EarFun Tune Pro’s huge battery capacity: up to 140 hours in standard mode at higher volumes, or around 85 hours with ANC active. A 10-minute quick charge provides up to 10 hours of playback without ANC, while a full charge takes just under three hours.

Bluetooth & Connectivity

Bluetooth 5.4 with multipoint pairing for two devices is supported. Available codecs are SBC and AAC, with no high-resolution options, though a low-latency gaming mode is included for films and games. Wireless range is excellent—up to 30 metres outdoors and multiple rooms across two floors indoors without dropouts.

Controls

A three-button remote on the right earcup of the EarFun Tune Pro manages playback, calls, volume, track navigation, and voice assistant activation. A dedicated ANC button on the left switches between standard, ambient, and ANC modes. App controls allow customisation, including enabling gaming mode, redial, and toggling multipoint.

USB & AUX Inputs

The USB-C audio input of the EarFun Tune Pro supports high-resolution playback—up to 24-bit/192 kHz with certain Android devices and 24-bit/96 kHz on macOS. Charging via USB-C can be disabled to preserve connected devices’ batteries. In USB mode, remote controls, ANC, and ambient mode remain available.

The 3.5 mm jack input of the EarFun Tune Pro uses a simpler feedforward ANC system, which is less effective than the hybrid ANC. Mode switching remains possible, but playback control is not. Both cables are included.

App Features

The EarFun Audio app (Android/iOS) offers extensive EQ control with 15 genre presets, 14 tone-shaping options, and a ten-band equaliser for custom profiles. A personal sound profile feature exists but is overly bass-focused. ANC control includes two intensity levels, wind noise reduction, and transparency mode. Additional app features include multipoint toggling, gaming/theatre mode, a sleep timer, and firmware updates.

Call Quality

AI-assisted beamforming microphones provide clear, well-balanced voice transmission, filtering normal wind noise effectively. Stronger gusts can still cause interference. Background noise is reduced during speech but remains audible in pauses, which can be fatiguing for the listener over longer calls.

ANC & Ambient Mode

Hybrid ANC introduces minimal hiss and enhances bass fullness. Even at medium intensity, it delivers effective broadband noise reduction, with maximum mode further improving suppression of voices and street noise.

Ambient mode amplifies surroundings well, though with moderate hiss. Announcements and conversations remain easy to follow, even during playback.

Theatre Mode

Theatre mode pushes the virtual stage forward for a more immediate, energetic presentation—ideal for dialogue and action effects—but lacks the wider spatial imaging of true surround emulation.

Sound Quality

The dual dynamic driver system (40 mm PET woofer + 10 mm LPC tweeter) of the EarFun Tune Pro delivers a balanced yet powerful sound. Bass is well-defined, slightly springy, and avoids excessive emphasis. Mids are lively, detailed, and offer excellent vocal clarity without sounding thin. Treble is neutral, with enough presence to reveal detail without harshness, maintaining long-term listening comfort.

Verdict

The EarFun Tune Pro combine phenomenal battery life, versatile connectivity, and a refined sound signature in a travel-friendly, foldable design. Their ANC and ambient modes are impressive for the price, though wired ANC performance is weaker. For frequent travellers and all-day listeners, they offer exceptional value.
