RHA MA750 Wireless

Sports-ready Bluetooth in-ear headphones with neck and ear hooks

In a nutshell

Coming in at just under 150 euros, RHA’s MA750 Wireless are attractive-sounding in-ear headphones with a neck and ear hook design, oferingpunchy and balanced sound tuning. A reliable daily companion with good value for the price tag.

RHA’s top-of-the-line wireless MA series features precision-moulded stainless steel driver housings that use in-house dynamic drivers (560.1) that bond to each other through magnetisation, when not in use, to protect against loss. The rubber elastic neckband harbours the electronics and provides strain relief, while the earpieces are held in place via ear hooks. The MA750 is, therefore, perfectly prepared for mobile use. The manufacturer also advertises splash and sweat resistance, making the made-in-England MA750 Wireless a good choice for athletes.

Device Controls

The construction is generally comfortable and, due to the abundant selection of a total of ten pairs of earpieces in various sizes and materials, you’re likely to find a suitable fit for your ears. For me, the drivers sat pressure-free in the auditory canal for a long time but had to be fixed there with a little more force than usual. Nevertheless, as a result, a pleasant average mechanical isolation of outside noise was established.

RHA states that the built-in battery gives a runtime of 12 hours.

Integrated in the neckband is the on/off switch, which also controls the pairing. It finds its counterpart quickly after a connection has been established and confirms the connection and battery status with a voice message.

The 3-button remote control with integrated microphone is located in the right earpiece cable. It offers Start/Stop, Trackskipping and volume control. You can answer calls and use voice control with your smartphone. The voice quality of the microphone is clear.

Sound

The stable Bluetooth connection also supports a higher data transfer rate with the aptX codec. If the plugs fit correctly, the high-level MA750 delivers a rich and powerful sound in the bass range. Although the sound impression is coherent, the low frequencies, which are contoured, dynamic and reproduced down to the low bass, have a certain dominance, but in mobile mode they offer much listening pleasure. Finally, in the high frequencies, the MA750 Wireless provides the necessary openness for a clarity in initial details, including touch sounds and the projection of stereo and spatial information. Ultimately, however, I would have liked a slightly more airy tone in this area. Though the MA750 provides a somewhat warm sound, they show their limits with sharpness in over-stimulated mixes.

As headphones that are suitable for cross-genre listening, they work well for classical to pop and dance to rock. Because of this, they’re a great choice for daily use, or even when being active and working out. Even at loud levels, they won’t bother the neighbours.
